Just added this as copies from NA and European stores and distros are slightly different than the ones that shipped in January from Japan.

The NA/EU ones were pressed by GZ Media in the Czech Republic, while the Japanese ones were seemingly pressed at Toyokasai in Japan.

Sony Classical is also credited as a label here alongside Square Enix Music, and there's a different catalog number.

Oddly, the NA/EU copies shipped with the FFVII text logo facing front, while Japanese copies had the meteor logo facing front. The printed logos on the slipcase for NA/EU copies also appear slightly misaligned, while properly centered on the Japanese release. The obi on NA/EU copies also seem to have been printed slightly too large (with part of the white area of the spine continuing on the front and back parts of the obi), while the Japanese ones seem to fit the spine.

There are also differences between the NA and EU copies, but from what I can tell it's only info on the obi that's different. EU copies mention Sony Music Entertainment International Services GmbH and says it's "Made in the EU", while there's a New York address visible on NA copies. Barcode, catalog number and vinyl runout info is completely identical on both NA and EU copies. NA copies shipped in late March, while EU copies shipped in mid-April.

I don't know if this is enough to warrant a separate EU submission?

This is unfortunate, and makes the rest of your post sadly unsurprising - GZ is renowned for poor quality control.

They were. They've thankfully gotten a lot better in the past couple of years. So pressing quality-wise I don't have any concerns with them as things are right now. I'd even prefer them to handle new releases over most NA-based plants.
