Where does the kanji name come from here? I see it's listed on discogs but I'm not seeing it written in any booklets. Is it just a case of it being the only possible way to write it?

As for the confusion over her last name. Inutsuka is used in all booklets we have apart from Super Mario Land (and one I found on discogs), which use Inuzuka. So I'm leanining towards the former being correct, but I guess we can't really know for sure.

@seanne: I found a mention of the kanji here: http://gammaray.blog.jp/archives/cat_336259.html

In cases like this, we have used the more common name as the main name. It would be a bit more ambiguous if there were a 50/50 split, but in this case there's only one documented case of "Inuzuka". That's solid evidence that "Inutsuka" is the correct reading.
