Added English tracklisting based on the CDJapan English Tracklist. There may be errors, though.

Does anybody else think 1-32 has the reference to "Danse de la Fée Dragée"? (the initial melody is so similar to the celesta part, although the bass clarinet part is missing). Of "Rapunzel" trilogy, Tsuchida says 1-33 is his original composition (with a possible unaware rip-off) and its liner note doesn't denote the original source like 1-19, so the similarity here is likely to be just coincidental, though.

Also, aren't 小西和樹's tracks included in this album?

Wouldn't the most likely reading of 小西和樹 be "Kazuki Konishi"?

It was 小西樹, actually. My bad.

Trauma Team's staff credit confirms the reading is Toshiki Konishi.

"All Music Produced by Shoji Meguro (ATLUS)
Song by L-VOKAL

Sound Composer: Kenichi Tsuchiya (ATLUS), [tr.19, 32-34] / Atsushi Kitajoh (ATLUS) [tr.29,30] / Toshiki Konishi (ATLUS)"

Could somebody please make sense of this? I can understand from it that Kenichi Tsuchiya did 19 and 32-34, and that Atsushi Kitajoh did 29 and 30, but what did Toshiki Konishi do? And what "song (is) by L-Vokal"?

I'm guessing this means that Konishi did all tracks not credited to either of the former two composers. This would mean that Meguro did not compose. Interesting.

Song by L-VOKAL means the vocal part was sung by him, not that he composed it.

I think all the track commentaries in the booklet are by Meguro (except Tsuchiya/Kitajoh's tracks which they comment instead, so these tracks are the only they did).

Konishi is only mentioned in the first track, I think it's saying he originally was doing it but Meguro did it instead since it didn't quite match the image the game's director had in mind. Seeing he's listed last with no comments in the booklet it'd be weird he'd be the main composer but who knows. Maybe he just helped composing minor parts
The liner notes say Meguro served as composer along with the other three so at least he did something. I think the trailers (which used track 01) listed Meguro as composer too.

Maybe the staff roll clarifies this...

Added romaji and corrected/slightly changed some of CDJ's translations to make them more accurate/actually translated.
I'm not going to change "Jouji Washington" to a translation, since it seems to be a pun.

I think 羊ヶ峰/Hitsujigamine (Sheep Peak if you will) is meant to be/sound like a place name, so the translation doesn't really apply (Xヶ峰 > X Peak, Xヶ森>X Forest, Xヶ島 > X Island, etc).
Why ram over lamb? I'd think lamb~=innocent, while ram=?

Also, most of the tracks in the game disc are in a "Meguro" dir, if there were any doubts. So I guess Konishi's tracks weren't included (a number of tracks in other dirs aren't in the OST).

Not sure on that one, to be honest. Sometimes it's hard to tell whether to romanise or translate those kinds of things without an official English track listing.
But if you think it's more of a place name then fair enough, change it to that.
Maybe it'll get an English release when the NA/PAL versions are out and they can clear it up.

I also go for ram over lamb because... well, they technically are rams. And just the assumption that since they use "kohitsuji" in all other situations, including the track list itself and in-game text, rather than katakana, I'm slightly more inclined towards saying otherwise. But again, it's hard to tell. Since they do indeed refer to them as "lambs" in various other situations (albeit in kanji, but still), that just makes it more confusing. Both apply, and of course both are a valid way to romanise it (grr katakana). Again, change it back if you think it's more fitting.

Anyone got Meguro on the phone to help? >.>

JASRAC time. 8)

Everything's registered to Meguro except tracks 29 and 30 (Kitajoh), 32~34 (Tsuchiya), and 19 (uncredited, but Tsuchiya's by the booklet). So, more apparent confirmation that Konishi didn't write anything that appeared on this album.

L-VOKAL is also credited for the lyrics for the vocal (track 1).

Also, JASRAC has all of the titles from that English tracklist from CD Japan too. So "Non Title" and "Mezame" and all that are officially registered.

Knowing this, I've editted the tracklist to reflect the 'official' names, Mezame and all (save the CAPS). CDJapan probably got them from Atlus (they seemed too accurate for a shop...).

The vocal song in the YT video (also) is not included in the OST, unfortunately (nor a few other tracks), seems it's is called "HEN to HEN".
Maybe it's the original Konishi song Meguro was talking about in the notes.

EDIT: from the staff roll:
Spoiler:
Opening song "YO"
Music
Shoji Meguro

Lyrics Writer
Katsura Hashino
L-VOKAL

Singer
L-VOKAL

Extra song "HEN to HEN"
Music
Toshiki Konishi

Lyrics Writer
Katsura Hashino

Singer
SHU

(HEN to HEN is 辺と辺 in the game files...)
So yeah surely HEN to HEN is the prototype YO Meguro mentioned. A pity they didn't include it.

Missing tracks:
- a couple of cues, and an unknown theme, variation of 28 (parts replaced with synth) by Meguro
- the stage themes (featured in the preorder OST tho)
- a bunch of Rapunzel short tracks and jingles, non-chiptune variations of 34 and 19, Tsuchiya?
- HEN to HEN and an unused remix of it, Konishi
- an unused(?) theme, I think Kitajoh's
- "tv movie/golden playhouse opening" track (Meguro perhaps)

All the tracks looped neatly fill 2 discs. Oh well :/

Some official US track names: http://catherinethegame.wikia.com/wiki/Jukebox_songs (for other games too)

Isn’t the point of it all to be apt to keep havin' the dream 'til it blows/bursts/pops (and turns to rubble)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Man, this sure wasn't an easy one (pfffff...), but the translation turned out quite good in the end. I'm glad xD
I sure do like the lyrics in this one, wow, what a song. So catchy.
