Alright, Chris has made a "reprint" of the soundtrack, and it doesn't seem he'll run out of copies soon
Looks to me it's exactly the same album, except for the change in the method used for its distribution. But with the Soundtrack Anthology project in the works, maybe Chris took advantage of the opportunity to remaster some old recordings? |

the current story: factor 5 decided to move from amiga to console development, and eventually turned the "turrican iii" idea into a pair of games based on the same source: super turrican (the sfc game) and mega turrican. both were completely finished long before what is known as turrican 3, which came to be a port of mega. however, they were never able to find a publisher for mega as they did with super, so 3 ended up being released before mega, which got thrown into 1994.
in light of this, i don't see the harm in tracking mega as well, though at this point i'm not sure this album can really be said to "represent" anything particular. (someone's gotta find the original super turrican (sfc game) : () Last edited by Despatche; Jul 2, 2013 at 06:08 PM. |

Here is with some added notes, and one serious omission corrected (Snes origin of first track).
01 - Opening - Super Turrican (Snes) - intro theme 02 - Prologue None [vocal intro] 03 - Main Title - Turrican 3 - Intro Theme 04 - Techno Dungeon - Turrican 1- Level 2-2 05 - The Desert Rocks - Turrican 2 - Level 1-2 (Warning: this is actually "Traps". It's a mistake similar to the "Op.13/Slash" one) 06 - The Great Bath - Turrican 2 - Level 3-1 07 - Walker Factory - Turrican 2 - Level 4-1 08 - The Hero - Turrican 2 - Highscore Table 09 - Bionic Action - Turrican 3 - Level 1-1 10 - Air Combat - Turrican 3 - Level 3-1 11 - Climb to Survive - Turrican 3 - Level 5 12 - Transfer to the Battlefield - None 13 - The Machine - None 14 - Countdown - None 15 - Freedom - Turrican 3 - End Credits (renamed Freedom which actually was the title of T2 ending track. Properly titled "Credits" in 2013 TSA) 16 - Turrican Medley - Bonus-Mix - Mix of various Titles: -- - Turrican 1 - Intro Theme (00:00 - 02:26) -- - Turrican 1 - Level 1-1 (02:27 - 03:34) -- - Turrican 1 - Level 3-2 (03:35 - 04:27) -- - Turrican 1 - End Credits (04:28 - 06:50) -- - Turrican 2 - Intro Theme (06:51 - 08:54) -- - Turrican 2 - Level 1-1 (08:55 - 10:06) -- - Turrican 2 - Level 5 (10:07 - 12:11) -- - Turrican 2 - Level 3-1 (12:12 - 14:35) -- - Turrican 2 - End Credits (14:36 - 15:37) Last edited by The Gambler; Jan 3, 2014 at 03:34 PM. |

12 - Transfer to the Battlefield - Turrican 1 - Level 1-1 (The first half doesn't arrange anything, but at 3:48, Level 1-1 kicks in). 14 - Countdown - Turrican 1 Title (Just the series' main theme section, plays after the explosion sound effect). |

Liner notes
I have made a translation, from German to English, of the liner notes for this CD. I originally meant it for the old web site Chudah's Corner, which had a liner notes section. I don't see a section like that on VGMdb, but here it is anyway:
