This isn't just Michiru Yamane. He also worked with Kouji Murata. Also, I believe Michiru Yamane was credited Tozan Yamane not Chiruchiru Yamane on the game credits.

I haven't been able to find any confirmation for Kouji Murata on any Japanese sources, but there are plenty of English language sites that list both of them as the composer for the NES game, so it seems likely, paticularly if they are both in the game credits, and the soundtrack is a complete record of the game music.

Michiru Yamane's name is given as Chiruchiru on this site

http://www.music.ne.jp/~konami/cd/1989tm.html

so that might be where that came from. Ultimately, we'll probably want to credit based on what the album calls the artist, but we'll need booklet scans for that.

Me again, though I just realized that the account I made back in September was activated after all, so no need for dear old Dermotos anymore.

Interesting that Kouji Murata's involvement is controversial, but it seems to be based on game credits. However, I'd be surprised if there is any artist credits in the CD itself given Konami's usual policy unless there are exceptions. I've based most of my pre-1997 or so Konami information on game credits.

The album is exceptionally short, but the total number of medley-based tracks seems to correspond roughly with the NSF rip. As I don't have the album myself, I can't compare directly.

Here are the credits for "sound": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1vUZJwycTM#t=7m40s

I don't know if Kouji Murata is confirmed as the reading for 村田幸史, since I couldn't find any use of that name in any other Konami games, but there's a K.MURATA credited in the sound team for the MSX version of Snatcher under "Program Effect," so that seems like a pretty likely reading to me.

And then 山根登山 is Michiru Yamane as Tozan Yamane.

Added scans for this album, couldnt be bothered to scan the survey card, but managed to cram one side of the insert in, so maybe there are some clues to composers, track names etc etc
Can't seem to upload the insert scan, maybe there are too many pictures uploaded for this album?
Would it be possible to remove some of the redundant ones?

Myrkul will remove doubles/low res scans don't worry.
Obviously scanning booklet or insert have their matter for album infos but also extras (survey card, disc, sticker, ecc...) are welcome if you have a chance to do that.

Yes sorry i have been away all day.
You can upload any scan (including existing scans) without permission, the database does not overwrite scans, even if they have the same name.
Also, i don't think there is any limitation in the number of scans/images that you can upload for a single album, we do have many albums with 50 & more scans.

I've added Kouji Murata. His (incomplete) work list confirms Yamane did 80% of the game (he doesn't give his name directly, but under Goemon 2 he says he was surprised his name was written in the staff roll in full kanji).

They use Chiruchiru Yamane in the liner notes so I kept that.
In Konami Ending Collection liner notes, Yamane also thanks Mr. "M".

EDIT: from her blog, this song ("inside a castle") is Murata's.

Does this album have original version or arranged versions from the Game?
