Not sure on the absolute ins and outs but what can be summised from this Facebook post is that they didn't get all their ducks in a row and this version of the album got the Nintendo treatment.
Much like TPR's recent Wind Waker album, this was then released in a revised form after Nintendo's lawyers had taken the red pen to it. Result, this album -
