Does anyone know who did the music for the GBA Lufia game? This album's booklet specifically credits Shiono with 1 and 2, but not this one, and says nothing about any other composers.
As per usual, the credits on the game are ambiguous. Sound Yasunori Shiono Akiko Ishibashi Tomoko Morita Yukio Nakajima I don't know about Ishibashi, who may have done sound effects, given the vague credit, but we can probably assume that Morita and Nakajima did composition for it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KSAGvy4054 (3:34) |

Nakajima did "just a little" according to an interview (Rocketbaby).
And Mobygames has these credits for Record of Lodoss War DC (made in 2001 by Neverland before Lufia GB): "Game Sound Composed by: Akiko Ishibashi, Tomoko Morita". So probably both of them composed for this one too. I'm not sure if Shiono was still at Neverland in 2001 though, and was only credited for the reused tracks. |

Shiono is also credited in the 2003 GBA game "CIMA: The Enemy" which seems somewhat unlikely to have reused music, so I'd say he was still employed and actively involved.

So.. shouldn't Nakajima be listed as a composer then? Possibly Morita, but I leave judgement to others to this.

Since Nakajima's statement is super vague, and he is listed last in the sound credits, I think we should wait for a more solid confirmation before adding him.
I doubt Shiono did ~70 tracks by himself without any help though. |

I just did a diff of this album and the older one to see any differences over at STC, and I noticed that ウエディング・ベル is misspelled on this release? The inserts even have it printed as an 'エ' instead of a 'ェ'? Is it printed wrong or am I reading it wrong or do Japanese people just naturally understand those kinds of things even if the little 'e' isn't used?

Checking the original's scans seems ウエディング is the correct one.
I don't think there is a difference though, both can be used. (some kana like the we-ウェ va-ヴァ are more 'modern', older katakana words may not use them). |

About Lufia GBC, according to Neverland's (RIP) site:
Tomoko Morita: SE and BGM, but only 3~4%, all four people did music. Fav tracks [not necessarily hers, but maybe]: - Leong Temple - Alstadt Kingdom - Redwood - Bad guys appear (Gades etc) - Ending (Staff roll) Yukio Nakajima: only two arranged tracks (at least one from Lufia II). Akiko Ishibashi and Yasunori Shiono didn't comment. Going by the order, I guess Ishibashi did some and Shiono most. So I suppose we could add those people.
