Does this contain all the music? The only reason I ask is that one of the musical samples on the music page on the game's website (top right musical sample) doesn't seem to appear on the OST tracklisting in Japanese.

The current tracklist has two tracks with the same name, maybe it's a mistake and one is meant to be the track in the official site. The title would be 絶望の果てに/"At the End of Despair". The game and the album aren't out yet so who knows...
Btw, would anybody mind if I change the title to GOD EATER in glorious CAPS? It's referred like that in official material and such. EDIT: the game features a mini sound test, and now that the game is out in the US... Sound test:

I have a question about track 25 on disc 2, the "full version" of "my life".
The short version on disc 1 features Yukari Fukui als vocalist ("Song" in the notes field), but according to the notes the full version's vocalist is some woman (I'm pretty sure it's a she...) named alan. Now here's the question: Who's this alan? Maybe some alias? I'm asking because the version of "my life" is probably one of my favorite tracks from the album (the whole album is superbe, but this one stands out particularly (at least for me)). EDIT: To answer my own question... If we can trust Wikipedia that this should be her: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Dawa_Dolma EDIT2: There's even a seperate article about the "My Life" album, here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Life...a_Dolma_album) Last edited by LiquidAcid; Apr 25, 2010 at 06:37 AM. |

Go Shiina needs to lay off Auto-Tune, permanently.
This is no Tales of Legendia, I'll tell you that.

I feel the same. God Eater gave me a weird impression--like it's too Shiina-esque. But I think it's a great soundtrack nevertheless.

I've updated the translations to match those featured on iTunes and the in-game BGM archive featured in God Eater: Resurrection. However, there are a couple translation inconsistencies between the digital release and the BGM archive. Firstly "嵐を切り裂いて" is translated as "Stormcutter" in the BGM archive while the digital release instead uses "Cut the Storm." Secondly on the digital release tracks 1.12 and 2.17 are listed as Nightmares (1st Ver.) & (2nd Ver.) respectfully. In the BGM archive they are instead labeled as "Nightmares: Sadness Awakens" (1.12) & "Nightmares" (2.17) For whatever reason both tracks are simply labeled as "迫る悪夢" on the physical soundtrack, but this was probably just an oversight. Additionally, the BGM archive adds a question mark at the end of "Gods and Men: Shall We Meet Again?" ("神と人と -Shall we meet again-")
