CDDB and Game Music Revolution has written in its database "Street Fighter II Movie Soundtrack"
GMR has an English Tracklist which I believe to be correct. Source: http://www.gmronline.com/info.asp?CatNumber=SRCL-2937 |

Apparently the title is taken straight from the obi (see the "Case Front" scan), which does not include the word "Movie".
This is confirmed by Sony Music's official site: http://www.sonymusic.co.jp/Music/Arc...ack/SRCL-2937/ The title is "Street Fighter II Original Soundtrack". |

Thanks Giga. I went ahead and added an English Tracklist and edited the Japanese Tracklist to be identical as the original source you provided which is the same as seen on the CD back.
Update: After so many edits I think I got it right. Last edited by Metroid; Jun 22, 2009 at 01:32 AM. |

Quote:
the color system for albums like this one is bad, it's clearly an anime ost (with just 1 game track?) coz the "Game" is selected and appearing in first, it categorizes with Game color there should be an option to "force" the color (in that case, Anime color should be selected) maybe with a hierarchy in selection (Anime [1], Game [2] -> [1] being the selected color for the album) |

The problem is that many track-based attributes such as the classifications (OST or arranged? Game or movie? But also composers and arrangers) were shifted to albums as a whole which breaks things like the coloration in cases like this. Last I heard, track-based credits and such is being worked on but it's obviously not as simple as flicking a switch. Imagine having to change over 100,000 albums' track credits manually, which is what has to be done for games with several composers/arrangers once this is implemented. That's the tricky part with databases. If you got a conceptual error in there somewhere, you'll face an avalanche of work later.

only the entries with 2+ classifications are concerned
avalanche of work is an excuse of laziness |

Doesn't VGMdb (now) prefer the title on the front cover as opposed to the spine? The front cover does actually say "MOVIE" in the layer underneath "STREET FIGHTER II" (but it doesn't say "original soundtrack" anywhere):
