If anyone has both, can you verify whether or not the same recordings from this release (https://vgmdb.net/album/8101) were used in this PSP version of the game. In other words, are the tracks on this disc different in any way from the same ones featured on the linked disc? Thanks!

That's an interesting question. I was always under the impression the PSP versions of Takeshi Abo soundtracks were slightly different to the normal versions, even if barely or not noticeable.

However, checking the tracks 'Goodbye Dears...' and 'Rain(s)' from Omoi no Kakera -Close to- for instance, there is no difference at all. Layering the tracks exactly on top of each other, all samples are identical. I would say it's safe to assume all tracks shared between these two recordings are identical.

In case you are looking for different versions of the tracks from Omoi no Kakera -Close to-, check out Close to ~Inori no Oka~ (https://vgmdb.net/album/21027). Omoi no Kakera -Close to- is the remake to Close to ~Inori no Oka~, so the tracks and used synths also got updated in that process.

Thanks for looking into that for me! Yeah, I was wondering if it was worth trying to track down both discs. Glad to hear there’s no discernible difference. And thanks for the head’s up about the Inori no Oka album.
