After 19 albums of Touhou albums, this is their first double CD release.
The tentative English title is "Reincarnation Reincarnation". The first pair of Kanji (転生) means reincarnation. 輪廻 also means the same basically. However the 廻 (e.g. cycle) part was replaced with 音 (e.g. sound) - both share a common reading "ne"). Speaking of album titles, this is the first album since the first album to (sort of) have a repeating word as a title (Frenzy Frenzy is the name of the first album). Also, since it's pretty consistent, I'm tempted to rename all their past Touhou albums in the format "Saitama Saisyu Heiki & Aether / [album title]". I might do the same for S.S.H.'s solo albums. However, it's not as consistent on vgmdb: Motoi Sakuraba gets to have both his name and album title displayed "Passage / Motoi Sakuraba" while Nobuo Uematsu does not "PHANTASMAGORIA". Or in the case of Yasunori Mitsuda, he gets both via multiple lines for "Creid". Unless anyone makes a good case otherwise, I'm going to ahead and edit all the SHAT-xxxx album titles. Regardless, I'll probably give all the albums the Creid treatment. Last edited by layzee; Dec 17, 2019 at 12:16 PM. |

The title of that Sakuraba album seems odd to me. Composer names appear on covers of game music all the time but we don't treat them as part of the title. That's what artist fields are for. For example:
