Eric Brosius has clarified that the composers for System Shock 2 should be Josh Randall and Ramin Djawadi.

I'm not sure if this release should be in the album db, since it's a privately burned CD. On the other hand an official source has confirmed its existence, as the link above shows, and seemingly has no objections to online distribution.

Excellent find! I am a huge fan of this game and even though the soundtrack is small, it has some memorable tracks. I'm going to try and track down the actual files from this release sometime later, since it seems they released it on the Internet for free.

Actually i accidently found this OST in my collection and also wanted to catalogue it.
It NEVER came out as an official soundtrack though. So i am unsure in how to list it.

Why is this marked as "doujin" when this is the soundtrack to the actual game?

Good catch. I don't think a release by the composer qualifies as indie. The whole issue of defining the doujin/indie category is still contentious however.

GOG finally got a hold of SS2 and released it a few days ago, including this same soundtrack as a bonus item. Didn't check the MP3 version but the FLAC version is exactly the same one available on System Shock.org. I updated the 'Notes' section to reflect this, and also uploaded the cover image that GOG has included in the ZIP file.

I'm a bit uneasy with the cover, though. Usually, GOG doesn't include any reference to the game copyright holders, but this time the picture includes a watermark with that information. Should I contact GOG to ask them if it's okay to upload the picture here? That question is also extensible to all the other bonus soundtracks distributed by GOG already available on the database, watermarked covers or not.

From the thread in the first post, just in case:
Spoiler:
ejbrosius:

Hi, this is Eric Brosius. Wow, this is cool...a blast from the past.

I want to correct something though: Josh Randall and Ramin Djawadi wrote most of the music for SS2. I did a bunch of editing and remixing and such, but those two fine fellows were the real SS2 composers.

Josh Randall, aka Robotkid and all-around good guy, wrote the cool techo-flavored pieces. We work together now at Harmonix Music.

Ramin Djawadi wrote most of the more moody orchestral-style pieces. Shortly after his stint at LG, he moved to Hollywood and is making a name for himself as a TV & film composer.

Thanks very much, and I'm glad to see that TTLG is still going strong after so many years.

Cheers,
Eric

Spoiler:
Robotkid3000:

Thanks guys! I actually didn't have these versions of the mixes. Glad you are still enjoying them.

I love what Eric did with my spacey synth stuff on the end credits. I keep meaning to remix that track "Ops 2"...uh...maybe someday?

Here's the kit I used for the techno stuff. Most of it was old analog gear:

Roland Sh-101 synths (2)
Roland MC-202 synth (found for $15 @ a flea market)
Roland Super Jupiter (the best synth in the world?)
Samplecell sampler (for the beats)
StudioVision sequencer/recorder (still my favorite...too bad it's dead!)

Peace!

-Robotkid
