Composed for many F&C games;
Mainly as "Akira" for Cocktail Soft, and as "Muse" for Fairytale Hardcover. GMCL also credits him as "佐藤亜希羅(さとう あきら) Akira Satou / Akira" for the following games: PC88 イルミナ! AC エンパイアシティ1931 AC ダイナマイトデューク AC 雷電 MD/SFC 雷電伝説 / PC88 Illumina! AC Empire City 1931 AC Dynamite Duke AC Raiden MD / SFC Raiden legend |

I haven't been able to find anything actually explaining why this Akira is the same as the Seibu Kaihatsu composer Akira Sato, besides the fact that they write "Akira" in the same unusual (but not unique) way.

Give his music a listen and you'll see it's the same person. For example, listen to some tracks from Illumina and listen to some Raiden tracks, it's especially apparent in the Genesis / MegaDrive version of Raiden.

We have a higher standard of proof than writing similar-sounding music, but I just noticed that Akira Sato thanks someone named PANDA in the Raiden arcade soundtrack, and since the eroge composer Akira worked with someone named PANDA a lot, maybe this thing has legs after all.

Just wanted to say that the insert also says KIYOTAKA, which most likely refers to Kiyotaka Sato. He also worked on F&C/IDES games just as Akira and PANDA did. Also there's no confirmation but PANDA is speculated to have also been a member of MUSE. We do know for a fact that Yoshihito/Yoshito Hata was a member tho, because the manual for Ballade for Maria says "Recording Director Yoshihito Hata (MUSE)". There's a screenshot but it's on E-Hentai so I'm not sure it would be okay to link that lol.

@marklincadet The linked wiki page doesn't seem to cite anything that hasn't already been posted in this thread: only that they write "Akira" in the same way and that someone named KIYOTAKA is thanked on the Raiden arcade soundtrack. It's interesting for sure but again it doesn't seem to have actually been proven

I just came across this paragraph in the readme for PILCaSEX (社長.DOC):

Not directly related to Akira but I think I may have some evidence of Kanamori Naoki and Saitou Misako (I don't think she is in the db) being members of Muse. On Jevald the music is credited to Akira, Naoki, and Misako (see this video). And the MIDI files that come with the game have the string "(C)MUSE".
