I'm pretty sure this album was also released in Asia at-large. Here was a thread on Soundtrack Central regarding this:

http://www.soundtrackcentral.com/for...ic.php?id=2126

I have the Asian version, but there doesn't appear to be a catalog number anywhere on it. It's not on the obi, the tray, the booklet, or the disc. The number etched in the disc is A0100260563-0101, which seems very long for a catalog number.

The scans I uploaded are from a different pressing, published by Freetron Far East, so they should be moved to separate listing. I haven't figured out, though, if the Freetron Far East pressing is a bootleg. The type of font used and the lack of catalogue number seem to suggest that it is a bootleg, but I'm not certain.

I deleted all scans submitted by L3000 since the original suleputer scans have been recently submited by Razakin.

For history (and if someone want to make another entry for the other scans), you can download them here.

These were (still are) very interesting scans cause everything was translated, liner notes, credits and tracklist.

This doesn't have too much to do with Dash in terms of the music other than the fact that's it used, but I thought it deserved to be recognized here.

Yeah, the freeton pressing is very interesting and should be made into a separate listing IMO; still, there are many inaccuracies in the track listing on it - the reaverbot names being one. The Bonne machines actually take their names from German war machines and the spelling is off as well.

Yeah,
-HanmaruDoll needs a space
-Fokkerwolf should be Focke-Wulf (German WW2 Aircraft)
-Feldynaught should be Ferdinand (ala Ferdinand Tönnies)
-Balcon Gerald should be Balkon Gerät (Balcony Device in German)
-Gai-nee Tooren should be Guynie Toren or Gai-nee Toren

Fun Fact: Garudoriten is based off of Gold Lightan

Give me the word, 'cause I'm dyin' to scratch this itch.

It's kind of sad when you think about it; I know it's not the greatest thing out there but I wish the music of the Legends series had more fans than it appears to. I really think it's underrated even though I can see the things that hold it back.

Same goes for the games.

The games are not without their die-hard fans, though. Check the links in my earliest post and you'll be quite delighted at what you'll find.

I was thinking, can't we add the PSP to "platforms represented" for the DASH 1 and 2 stuff? They were re-released on the PSP in Japan and then were re-re-released in a combo package a year or two later. I thought of it since I just put in an order for a copy.

We don't generally note the re-releases in the product field.

A vinyl / cassette tape version of this was just put up for pre-order on Ship to Shore PhonoCo.'s website...

https://shiptoshoremedia.com/collect...ga-man-legends

From a brief glance, this seems to just be a re-print of this CD, with tracks 1 and 40 removed.

Mediocre game, mediocre soundtrack but still people are going crazy about it. I don't get it

Damn it! Well, I'll be forking out for a copy when they hit eBay.

I love the game and soundtrack, but I can see why people are kind of iffy on it. It's ultimately a case of "you had to be there" IMO. Had I played the game a later point I'd probably consider it a remnant of Mega Man history like others do. I don't think the second game is as memorable but it upped the ante very well in terms of story, scope and difficulty.

It's a pretty influential game; it pioneered the 3D lock-on system at the same time as OoT (and rarely gets credit for it). I can see going back to the game now and thinking "...so?" but it still holds up as a solid 3D action-RPG dungeon crawler.

I don't know. I can see why one would feel that way, but I always tend to remember the game for it's story. I mean you don't have to go far to find a person who'll say "who cares about the story in a Mega Man game" but I always though the world in Legends was the real prize. Also, the Bonnes are pretty good "villains," they do many immoral things but they aren't unredeemable. I though that was a breath of fresh air after Mega Man X tried the whole "are Mavericks bad for having a different world view?" crap I never cared for.

As for this soundtrack, I think the real problem with it's very context dependent. Many of the tracks work in the game but a good chunk of them lose something outside it. Also, I will never forget when GamePro Magazine said the majority of the soundtrack "consists of shmaltzy elevator tunes" in their review. I don't know HOW you can even say that, there are several types of tracks in this OST, and well, when you say that "Apple Market" and/or "The Flutter" are *shmaltzy elevator tunes* I see that as a complement as I'm pretty sure that's what Tomozawa was aiming for.

Still, very odd choice to put on vinyl IMO, and I can admit that even though I like the score.
