The release date should be verified. I assume this album was sold before it got available at general shops like Amazon, but Ys Music Files says it was October. Where September 29th came from?

Here's the official links for the digital release XANAN-OST. The first one in particular mentions the December 1, 2005 date for it:

As for the CD album NW10102710, it's hard to confirm officially, as you already demonstrated. The earliest mention I could find is September 1, 2006 but that's unlikely to be the release date (which is nowhere mentioned on the Falcom site). The mail-order store didn't mention the CD on September 1, 2006 but did on October 8, 2006. Other (inconclusive) pages I looked at:

To make matters worse, Amazon, Rakuten and Tower Records say December 1, 2006, while Otaku.com says October 1, 2006. But those are not really trustworthy anyway.

When I was about to give up, I found something more concrete: a CD rip release post from September 30, 2006 which I will of course not link to and which may or may not be the rip you mentioned.

Luckily, we don't have to rely on a piracy site as this blog post from September 28, 2006 includes a photo of the shipped album, saying that it arrived on September 27, 2006 as a special bonus with the main order for 英雄伝説 空の軌跡FC (PSP, which also has an official release date of September 28, 2006).

So, while we don't have an actual release date, we can confirm that the album was released and shipped in September 2006! I don't know what surprises me more. That the blog post is still online and solved the mystery, or that a mistake was found on tk-nz's site...which of course doesn't take away from its status as the definite resource for Falcom music!
