Oh for f*ck's sake iTunes had to screw up simple Roman numeral in the title...

I wonder about the iTunes release date, can this entry really have original, K32X-7708's year 1988 date? It shouldn't work that way, at least I don't think so... The 'real' release date for this iTunes version would simply be the day when they added it to iTunes store, right? If there's no such data available, rel date could be set to 'unknown' or set to a year only, at best...

Yeah, that's the issue with other iTunes releases of these classics because nothing could have been released in iTunes prior April 28, 2003, the day when iTunes became functional (according to wiki)...

I'm sure it's been around since at least last year, when I happened to stumble across all of these iTunes Falcom releases, but I can't be sure that it wasn't before that.

I hate iTunes even more now lol (for the serious lack of info).

edit: Thanks for reminding me the db requires at least a rel year, Xenofan 29A!

I'm not the biggest fan of iTunes either, but to be fair, I think it's the fault of whoever submits the album, which would be Falcom in this case. I wish that people would use better methods of digital distribution (with lossless audio, preferably), but iTunes has a near-monopoly, it seems.

Didn't somebody have a trick for finding the release date of an iTunes soundtrack? I forget who it was though, maybe Fearin or dissident...

Buying the album (or just one track) and then using software like Mediainfo (free) to show all kinds of data about the selected file, including encoded and tagged dates, comes to mind... Though day and month probably couldn't be taken for granted, but at least the year *should* be reliable.

iTunes uses Title Case by default for everything. It doesn't make sense to use their title when the digital cover has the title in it's correct case.

Edit: Also, I noticed that most people are just using the 180x180 thumbnail for iTunes submissions. I don't know if you guys know this, but you can get the 600x600 digital cover without paying for anything.

And it looks like the Sorcerian albums were added in March according to this forum thread.

So all the Falcom albums released so far have been in 2012... if someone has an iTunes account it might be a good idea to keep tabs on the artist / band there.

This is my culmination of work using tweets and fan sites or forums.
(Showing my work)
Twitter has an API that only allows you to see 3200 past tweets. So list is hurt by that, I used http://www.allmytweets.net/ which loads them all expanded on a single page and searched for either itunes, or falcom.
The tweet accounts I used were falcom itself, ghostlight_ross, endless history, and finalmacstorm.
The sites I used were the previously shown forum links by foxhack and secret squirrel, esterior.net (Falcom site of some sort [fan?]), google translate to figure dates.
