YAY! I can't wait for this one! I've loved the samples via PVs and the two on the bonus CD for the game.

I'm just wondering how the composer credits should be. The booklet only states Ryu Umemoto, neither Namiki nor Kaneda (Ryu Takami's additional themes are apparently missing). While I have no problem with listing the two guys as the original composers, I think it's more fair to have N.T as well if we're to add some uncredited composers (indeed, I've long wonder if we ought to credit N.T to ESPGaluda II white label). Some of Umemoto's takes like "Stage5" are especially tricky, because he definitely makes a more faithful reference to N.T's original track.

Probably Umemoto alone is simple and clear, as identifying sources by ears isn't completely objective, but I don't mind any further edit.

N.T should be credited. There are multiple melodic phrases that can be directly linked back to his compositions. Largely "Different Blood ~ Wearing Blood" which has parts found in this album's "Stage 1" and "Stage 2" tracks. Also, "Huge Battleship Elinies" which is referenced in this album's "Stage 5".

I thought it was interesting how Umemoto did these arrangements. He takes a lot of the ESPGALUDA II melodies in new directions, almost like "alternate reality" versions. It's all well done, though I still much prefer the original E2 soundtrack.

I don't think we should. In Galuda, the reference/throw back is much more direct and recognizable, whereas in DOJ/DFK is way more subtle and not so easy to recognize.But that's just my two cents.

I haven't heard the DonPachi album, so I can't comment on that.
