Wow, it's about time Kingdom Grandprix (Shippuu) got a soundtrack release.

Holy fuck and shit. Is there anything else to say, really?
...Does the X68000 version of Mahou have different music...? |

Same soundtrack but using the X68000 sound chip. I'm sure it's not included in this compilation.

The album doesn't say which band performed which arrangement, but HEAVY METAL RAIDEN's site says that they arranged Kingdom Grandprix:

I recently picked this up unfortunately after the fixed price period but still close to original MSRP. It's a very good deal even considering Mahou and Shippu were available elsewhere since Dimahoo's original release is costly compared to this. Last edited by fahlim003; Jun 24, 2014 at 07:29 AM. |

I tried special ordering this ost from Kinokuniya Bookstores in April 2013. They said they couldn't get it. They checked out every warehouse in Japan and nothing from them. Some game music you can only order through their webpage. Kinokuniya is facing problems with this particular ost.

Just noticed what they did with the album titles, I approve. "Sorcer Striker" was always a sort of sub- or alt-title, kinda like "Fire Shark", though better because the Sorcer Striker boards actually have Japan settings! "Kingdom-Grandprix" was always a legitimate subtitle, as you can plainly see just by booting the thing up (the back of this album even has a cap of the title screen). There was even an interview of Raizing where they mentioned that Toaplan taught them about localization and things like this.
Funny... the visual design of this album implies that it's for the first game and that the other games were thrown in as a bonus... somehow I remember this had been true at one point? Last edited by Despatche; Aug 19, 2014 at 02:01 AM. |

Fans of Kingdom Grandprix's OST may be amused by this little tidbit I got out of Sakimoto-san when I interviewed him at E3 2015:
http://www.vgmonline.net/hitoshisakimotointerview3/ Hitoshi Sakimoto: Regarding Mahou Daisakusen: Kingdom Grandprix, do you know why I gave these [names] to the tracks? I was lazy and decided to use horseback riding words. I was learning how to horseback ride ten years ago. Patrick: That’s great! That explains tracks like “Lead Departure” and “Flag Race.” [laughter] |
