Description
Virgin Records is currently one of the Universal Music Group brands and is used by their subsidiary Capitol Music Group in the United States.

In Japan the Virgin Records imprint was previously used by Toshiba EMI Ltd., EMI Music Japan Inc. and the Virgin Music division of UNIVERSAL MUSIC LLC.

In 2017 UNIVERSAL MUSIC LLC replaced the Virgin Records imprint with a Virgin Music imprint. This imprint is no longer in use in Japan.
