The Jackson 5 is the name used where the 5 brothers (Michael, Jermaine, Jackie, Tito, Marlon) were in Motown, from 1968 to 1975.
In early 1976, the group moved to Epic Records (excluding Jermaine, who stayed at Motown) and renamed to The Jacksons, where Randy replaced Jermaine.
