Notes

Late Japanese tokusatsu (special effects) director, film director, cinematographer & inventor, considered the "father of tokusatsu."
Founder and first president of Tsuburaya Visual Effects Productions, currently known as Tsuburaya Productions.
His real name was Eiichi Tsuburaya [圓谷英一].

His sons were second and third Tsuburaya president Hajime and Noboru Tsuburaya, and his granddaughter is Hitomi Tsuburaya.

Passed away due to angina pectoris at age 68.
