The CDV format is described here
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CD_Video The Audio segment has the original Arcade sounds. Since the video segment was unviewable using my dvd-rom drive, I can't confirm if this link is the matching video from this disc, but it's a possibility. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfb8rNwtSg8 It's runtime of 4:56 matches up with the 5 minute maximum runtime of video capacity for the CDV format though. It's also possible that Pony Canyon released a few other CDVs, as this catalog number is 1003, so logically there must have been 1 and 2 before it, but those titles are currently unknown. Edit: Chase HQ is number 6. チェイスH.Q. E20H-1006. Last edited by Carl; Oct 23, 2008 at 06:54 AM. |

Despite the strong possibility, now I have a doubt if is this video. According to this site, S.S.T. Band made the first show in February, 1989, and this CD-V was released in 1988…
http://www.geocities.co.jp/Playtown/5980/sst.html Btw, I found the number 4. It’s the Super Mega Drive, with musics from Space Harrier II, Altered Beast and Super Thunder Blade. Catalog Number: E20H-1004 http://www.batini.com/otherjapangold...4goldfront.jpg Knowing that CD-V has only 5 minutes capacity, I really don’t know from what CD the “Magical Sound Shower” with 11 minutes is from... ![]() http://www.imeem.com/people/VskB9jV/...n_music_video/ |

Ahh. Well if the band wasn't formed yet, then the content could just be all in-game footage of the arcade (not performance & game mixed).
So I'll remove the Live Event part of the classification since we're unsure. As for the 11 minute Magical Sound Shower vid, that is contained on the "Strategy Movie & SST Band Live +1" Bonus DVD that came with Outrun 20th Anniversary Boxset. http://vgmdb.net/db/covers.php?do=view&cover=18259 (and Thanks for info on CDV number 4) |

Carl, the same site has 1 and 2 titles, but both aren't game music related:
F-1 Grand Prix 87 in Britain, Silverstone Catalogue Number: E20H-1001 http://www.batini.com/otherjapangold...1goldfront.jpg F-1 Grand Prix 87 in Japan, Suzuka Catalogue Number: E20H-1002 http://www.batini.com/otherjapangold...2goldfront.jpg Now only the number 5 is unknown. |

Found my hardcopy, so I'm updating the tracklist to reflect that the Audio part of the disc itself contains just one long track of 12:28.
We have the detailed song breakdown listed in the Notes section already, so that information is still present there. Last edited by Carl; Apr 17, 2011 at 09:33 AM. |
