So this album was reprinted in the Capture Chronicle Series "Gain Ground & Crack Down". On the reprint, Yuzo Koshiro was credited as the composer of Crack Down. Can anyone actually verify this and does anyone know who the composer of Gain Ground is? I've been very dubious about listing this album for a while and would like to clear up the issue. Thanks.

Yeah, I've seen that same album. That VGM World page is the only one I've seen crediting Crack Down to Koshiro.

Regarding Gain Ground, the arcade composition is as follows, according to GMCL:
DOLPHIN: Round 1, Round 3, Ending
Q-CHAN (Katsuhiro Hayashi): Round 2, Round 4, SE

DOLPHIN also did the music to the arcade version of Golden Axe, and thanks to the wonderful Golden Axe set, we find that his real name is Tohru Nakabayashi. My respect for this guy keeps going up.

Currently, Gain Ground's composition is credited to Tarnya, who did the SMS conversion and composed the fifth round theme (the SMS version had an additional round). I'll fix those credits in a bit because this is definitely the arcade ST.

Thanks for the info. I'll remove my credit then.

SEMO still lists Yuzo as doing Crack Down. They're pretty accurate on most things.

Hmmm, seems like somebody had the initials mixed up. Thanks for that.

Is Gain Ground included in another album, other than the Capture Chronicle thing? It would be nice to release the arcade and Mega Drive soundtrack for this game (and other Sega games from this era), like they did with the Golden Axe 3-disc album.

You can find a more complete GAIN GROUND soundtrack on the SEGA SYSTEM24 SOUND COLLECTION. It's been a while, have you found it before I've intervened?

On the Yuzo Koshiro thing from decades ago, it's an odd coincidence with what Doommaster1994 said about Tokuhiko Uwabo about Dolphin's name maybe being Yuzo Takada. Is their name actually Yuzo and it was assumed to be Yuzo Koshiro? Y.T keeps getting mistaken for other people, it's very rude.
