Default [Edit] High School! Kimengumi Anime Theme Song & Character Theme Song... (#191040)

@GoToon
Good job on those submissions, although you did half of what needs to be approved that I had to put in more details.

First and foremost, what album is this related to? The second set of editing albums has a field where you can classify what track was used from. Don’t forget to also place the platform for each product; for example, if this came from an anime show, the platform would be “Series”.

In formatting song credits, the vocals credit should be placed on top as per VGMdb guildlines. I know that credit is placed on the last row from the booklet, but when adding them from notes, those should be in the top row.

Finally, the drafts, because I don’t think you know how to create a draft. When making it, make sure to place ALL of the credits in order from the booklet (if there are), and the roles should match the equivalents as printed, so when hovered on each role, it should read exactly as it is from the booklet.

If you still need help, you can ask any of the staff or trusted editors (mine included) or abide by the rules in the forums page.

Hi @xainellechan and thanks for pointing this out. There are a lot of rules and I'm still learning!

Noted for add all the credits mentioned in the booklet and how to organise them.

However, I don't understand you question "what album is this related to?"

Lastly you are agree that I don't have access to the "credit" section (where people are linked)?

She probably meant "product" or something, since that was one of the portions she'd filled in.

I'm sorry, but where is this rule written?
I was taught that the submitter could write the songs roles in the notes in any order he wants.
And it seems good to me to write them in the order they appear in the booklet, which is very often "Lyricist", then "Composer", "Arranger" and "Vocals".
So another rule that has changed?
At the end we have absolutely no more freedom in the submission of an album.

Not by guidelines per se, but the album GoToon submitted is an all-vocal album in that the vocal credit should be placed first (as what it's done from anison.info). If it's for an OST and there isn't any sighting for the music credit (especially if it appears in the animation staff part), I go for the old style of the four principal roles if the BGM person both composed and arranged it as from booklet. Then the vocals/performer and lyricist credit go after the arranger part.

When I came to VGMdb almost a year ago, I did what depa and Mokona formatted the four principal roles. I must intertwine those roles from the old albums and the ones from the present and past decade.

Without any further ado, users can just format whatever they want, whether printed from the booklet or not.

And sorry if I said something a bit unpleasant from last time

Sorry but I never read a stupid thing like this!! BGM albums are one thing, Vocal another....
Apart the vocalist we can use as 1st role in every vocal album without following the booklet order, every labels (western and eastern) use the form writer/music or lyricist/composer as first credits.
Database like JASRAC, use a specific order:
1) writer/lyricist
2) composition/music
3) list of vocalists

and EVERY singles follows JASRAC order.... JASRAC remember apart minor cases DOESN'T have arranger credit.
A song BORN with words and music, did you ever see a musical score with lyrics? Same order as above!!!
Old music singles used only those credits (you can see only them on some modern compilations also, it depends by the label), later they followed habit to report arranger as last credit.
Arranger remember is someone, not necessarily the same composer, who have to emphasize words and music with instruments available in studio, so if you say that is a major role compared lyricist is simply stupid.
Every DB follow that order, I don't think they all have their brain damaged....

EDIT... to prevent misunderstandings I'm talking only for Single/Vocal song albums credit structure order in notes.

Ah so there is no such rule in the guidelines, so you are contradicting yourself. But so for you Anison.info is the number 1 reference, and the order of roles on this site should be preferred to what is written in the booklet? Did you also know that there are a lot of errors in the credits on this site? In short for me it's quite suitable / preferable to use the order of the roles printed in the booklet in the notes, and put the Vocals role in 1st in the linked credits.
Otherwise if it's to write exactly the same thing twice on the album page, what is the point of having redone the whole system?

Yes I know that and I don't know why you mention it, we were talking about the order of song credits in the notes.

Are you talking about your penultimate post? If so I will not say unpleasant but too categorical.

Not sure if I should be repeating myself here, but we could really use a decisive & comprehensive guideline list for the whole site about now.
Even in some Inspector edits to a single I’d previously worked on (yesterday), I saw a specification that I wasn’t quite aware of up until the time I went over it.
