You are right, I forgot to check whether this release was eligible.

The release date did not match any significant event and it seems unlikely to de doujin.

On the other hand I searched for each track individually and I could not like any of them with visual art or game.


For what I understand from the Formalization of VGMdb Scope post, I believe it fits Category 3 - Albums that fill Composer/Arranger Discographies. Please correct me if I am wrong, I would like to make better submissions.
It would fill the discographies of the following artists:
- 真理絵 (455)
- 片霧烈火 (97)
- Riryka (1992)
- Mint (11398)
- Rita (291)
- 中原涼 (78)
- 癒月 (3765)
- 茶太 (96)

If this is not what the 3rd category is about, then it seems to be not eligible.

Hey, kahpaibe. Category 3 is for discographies, but it is limited to artists who have composed or arranged BGM in a game or anime, so I don't think any of those vocalists qualify.

I think I understand now.

Would specifying the following make it eligible ?
- Composer 上條貴史 (https://vgmdb.net/artist/4446)
- He composed several vocal tracks of "Suzunone Seven! -Sweet Lovers' Concerto-" by Clochette (https://vgmdb.net/album/16918)
- "Suzunone Seven! -Sweet Lovers' Concerto-" being an official fandisc of the "Suzunone Seven!" visual novel by Clochette (https://vndb.org/v2226)

Thought process:
Since visual novels are games, related albums are in Category 1. Hence GWAVE SuperFeature's vol.16 Sweetsongs is in Category 1
Since this artist composed for a primary art related album, any album where he is credited with a non-blue role is eligible.
He is credited as Composer in BAND PLUS EIGHT DIVAS (hence non blue), so this album is eligible (Category 3)

I think you are close to finding a justification for this album. The composer/arranger credit needs to be for BGM though, so instrumental music in a game/anime. Vocals don't count (nor do their karaoke counterparts). I don't know if either of those composers have.

I looked through all releases featuring the 3 composers on vgmdb, it seems like this album is not eligible.

The closest I found is the vague mention :

Actually, arranging the piano used in the BGM for Karanoshojo is just enough to qualify.
