Usually game versions are short versions, and may not include parts where certain instruments are played. In rare case, game versions may have exclusive parts. In the early days game versions and album versions can be more different (https://vgmdb.net/album/2645 M1&3) because the album version was made after a long time, but I don’t think it's still happening.
