Namiki told me that him, Iwata and Kaneda were not actual full-time employees of Basiscape, but rather contractors, although he was still one of the co-founders with Sakimoto and Iwata. He worked from home but still attended meetings, recording sessions and banquets. Kaneda continues to work with Basiscape to this day, so I'm not sure if he's still just a contractor or if he became a full employee by now. However, those three were listed as members on Basiscape's website, so my interpretation is that they were part of Basiscape as a collective/brand, but not as a legal entity. I think this is a similar situation to how SuperSweep employed long-term close contractors such as Hiroto Saitoh and Norihiro Furukawa, and were credited under SuperSweep in some games.
Everyone else who worked there during Namiki's time (2003-11) were full-time employees. |

Speaking of Basiscape, is there any actual source for the note on this page?

2. I can find no evidence of 元 being translated as "Bios" anywhere. 3. How you do you "wrongly register" a company name? It's the name of the company. There's lots of paperwork involved. You don't just write the name of the company completely wrong multiple times on accident. |
