Default Album "aliases"?

Just now I searched up the Final Fantasy V Original Sound Version (with the search "final v version", I think that's a pretty good one!) but had to scroll through 57 confusingly similar results. I understand there are many versions of this, but it seems inconvenient and not how the site should treat high-profile releases, unless this feature already exists.

Here's what I'm suggesting: I type in "FFV" or "FF5", I get sent straight to that page, maybe with a "did you mean one of these later versions?" message at the top. How does this sound? Is it feasible?

P.S. "FF5" takes me to something that might be related, but not "FFV"

It will have to be a developer addition, but as the site mainly deals in official information, it is not exactly in the business of adding aliases that were not part of any official distribution. That may well be the issue, because shorthand is generally not included unless actually present on a release (as with any other title, for that matter).

It sounds like you want a more intelligent search that infers what you are looking for based on what people usually type in their queries. You would probably have a better result searching on google with something like "final v version vgmdb" as your search phrase. Google has poured zillions of dollars into just that. Our search should remain literal and exhaustive because we are a comprehensive research site..

Thank you for the responses! I will use search engines for this in the future and definitely don't want to compromise this site's integrity for a petty change. Thanks for explaining why it wouldn't be optimal to implement.
