I've been waiting to get some feedback, submitting album takes surprising amount of time and I'm very confused about different things, like organizations and romanization. But I'm trying to learn and use common sense.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it clear that if there is a composer in VGMdb, then it would be nice to have all their work in the database? Be it either game, animation or live action. As long as it's Japanese music. For example, this Gokumonto album fills Shinichi Tanabe's discography. There are already soundtracks on his page.

There are tons of live actions missing from VGMdb that won't appear there unless someone submits them. VGMdb has been very useful to me and that's why I would like to give something back. I'm lucky enough to have free time to do so.

EDIT: So yes, I can provide reasons in the future. I had no plans to add albums by composers that are not already there. I try to make sure they already have soundtracks in the database.

No, it's not clear for live action. There are Japanese artists that don't have their whole discography here because they do not meet Category 3 criteria. Still, most of the time it's very easy to justify entry by finding one connection.

Category 3 requirements exist to ease the moderation. So that whoever reviews submissions doesn't have to go to artist's page(s) and check if an album's eligible or not. Artist page could have some live action OSTs that are approved because of other people involved, too.

What works best (and per the guidelines) is leaving simple "For [artist name] discography [insert album link with game/animation BGM]". Thanks for understanding.

Thanks for clearing up. As I edited my previous message, I have no problems providing reasoning if it helps moderators job. TheFantomConvoy already pointed out Shinichi Tanabe's anime work, so this album meets the critiera.
