I couldn't find any gameplay footage that goes far enough into the game to show the staff roll. However, a now-defunct site called Nintendo Software DataBase documented the credits, which CHz documented
here. A lot of what I can say about the credits was already said by him in that post, although I would like to add that Manabu Namiki's
old website listed a game on his worklist that matches the release date - but it seems he changed the Nintendo games he worked on to "not public". He lists doing three tracks for this game.
Looking through the sound data, there are five SWAR files:
- SWAR_FUJIKAWA (Hiromitsu Fujikawa, who created the sound effects)
- SWAR_INOUE (maybe Megumi Inoue? not in the staff roll, unless she's under special thanks)
- SWAR_NAMIKI (Manabu Namiki)
- SWAR_SHIIBA (Daisuke Shiiba)
- SWAR_ST (probably SolidTune. funnily enough Seiichi Takamoto has the same initials - not sure if Tatsuya Fujiwara also composed or just served as Takamoto's manager)
There are also seven bank files. Namiki's three tracks have separate banks but all use SWAR_NAMIKI, while SolidTune's tracks all use BANK_ST_ALL and SWAR_ST. By process of elimination it can be concluded that Shiiba composed "Burning Stars", which uses its own bank as well as the SHIIBA, NAMIKI and ST SWARs. The two jingles in the game use BANK_INOUE and the INOUE, ST and SHIIBA SWARs. With those three tracks using other people's SWARs as well as being composed in-house at Nintendo, I assume they were made after the outsourced stuff was.
The game has the following tracks, I assume titles are from the sound test (taken from
here):
- Ignition (title theme) - Namiki
- Flame 101 (tutorial theme) - SolidTune
- Incinerator (Earth & Mars theme) - SolidTune
- Steppin' into Jupiter (Jupiter Belt theme) - SolidTune
- Reef (Jupiter & Saturn theme) - Namiki
- Keep Burning (Uranus & Neptune theme) - SolidTune
- Maboshi Revisited (Planet X theme) - SolidTune
- Congratulations! (Complete Space Tour) - Inoue
- Burning Stars (staff credits theme) - Shiiba
- Flash (normal time limit theme) - SolidTune
- Maneuver (unique time limit theme) - Namiki
- Full spark (hard time limit theme) - SolidTune
- Flickering Out (game over) - SolidTune
- Time's Up! - Inoue
