For some reason, MARO was credited as one of the composers for the first game so I removed him and added TOM.

I asked ATOMIC on X about their roles and got a reply:

KOREMASA was already confirmed as the programmer of the sound driver in the liner notes of PCCB-00149 FIGHTER'S HISTORY DYNAMITE / FLYING POWER DISC.

According to ATOMIC, he is in charge of sound production, composing the main songs and sound effects. Tom is also the composer of some of the music.

Following up on that, I don't know if it's safe to assume that all of Atomic's FPD2 songs were originally his, although a couple (like SHOOT) are known. "REACH FOR THE TOP" to me is a really blatant Tom track, especially when listening to the NGCD version. With how open Gamadelic has been recently with their YouTube, I wonder if they would be willing to set the record straight on some of these track-by-track, I'm very curious.

What do you mean? All the main songs in FPD2 are given proper credit, including "REACH FOR THE TOP". If anything, it would be easy to assume that all the other uncredited tracks based on FPD would be TOM’s.

Right, but I'm saying for Atomic's tracks on this album (credited on p.17 with 'composer') probably is more akin to arranger, with composition implied for only the new tracks. Atomic has arranged Sato's stuff for Gamadelic before (like DYNAMITE), and I'd be surprised if they purposely excluded any originally Sato tracks from the original FPD just because he wasn't involved. "You Got a Power" (not included in this CD's credits) surely also must be Atomic's (& Mr.K's) with the central slap bass.

"REACH..." and some of the original FPD tracks also bear a strong resemblance to Sato's work on Altron's "Hot Wheels Burnin' Rubber".

I’m no Gamadelic buff, and if there wasn’t a direct answer from ATOMIC himself (again, he confirmed he did compose all the main tracks from FPD), I would say you could be into something there, although still speculative. So if anything, he would be arranging his own tracks and page 17 would be a correct composer breakdown. Why wouldn’t it be?
