I'm honestly pretty pleased with the track list here. I'm gonna scoop this up. However, not sure if others saw what was posted at Square Enix's site:

Comes with a DL with 71 tracks plus 31 unreleased tracks.

My question is will people outside Japan be able to get the DL and, if 31 unreleased tracks are being included, does this mean this version is gonna be correctly looped? I've been keeping my ears open for news of a new physical of the OST but was only gonna bite if the tracks get lengthened. However, I might wait and see what I get with this DL first. I don't need a physical copy, I fine with files.

I can't imagine there will be any further looping, honestly.

The SEM download codes historically have gone through OTOYOY - I've never had any issues using them overseas.

Same. Have always been able to redeem the codes from their vinyl releases without any problems.

I know this isn't the correct thread, but you may be right. I was kind of expecting an OST re-release - but there hasn't been a peep and the game releases in half a month.

I can't get over the fact that SE didn't take the opportunity to rearrange the soundtrack. The original is great, no question, a classic. Still, the music would benefit so much from it, like Tactics Ogre or FF12. They could have offered both versions to choose from. But I think it would be too costly for this kind of remaster.

True. Not knocking it but they rearrange Legend of Mana but not this? I mean I like the LoM soundtrack (and the remix is good as well) but was Legend of Mana a big seller?

Actually, the big question (more like inciting ire) concerning this game that most normies (non-big VGM listeners) is the fact that they've excluded the additional content that was added in the PSP version even though it's using the translation from that game. From what I've read we're getting back the content that was cut from the US PS1 version, and they're tweaking classes (apparently Archers will be more useful?) but it's kind of whole quagmire what we're getting and not getting game wise.

I had the game ordered, but I canceled. It wasn't anything to do with what is in and isn't, but I KNOW I won't play this and it'll sit on my shelf. Played the game when I was 18; liked it but man, I was bad at it and I don't have the willpower for a game of this length anymore.

Getting the LP instead is a decent compromise.

Continuing discussion from elsewhere, Apple Music has auto-balanced the tracks into 2 discs (51+51), which doesn't match the original division of tracks across 2 discs (42 on disc 1). One would expect that if multiple discs were intentional, we'd see 3 discs (42+29+31) instead of what's listed on Apple.
