There's also been a major update today that allows now tracks to be played on PC via the official website (reproduction is still locked to NSO subscribers, but the tracklists and thumbnails can still be viewed without an account).

Same. They COULD just add the composer/arranger names from the staff credits without giving detailed breakdowns. But at least the latest update shows that Nintendo keeps working on the application, which I'm glad to see. As long as they maintain these regular updates and quality, I’m satisfied with the service so far.

Now that Nintendo Music is accessible through browsers, copying the Japanese titles would be a simple task. With that said, does anyone think that a thread devoted to the Japanese tracklists would be worthwhile? It might be a bit redundant since many of them can already be viewed on their respective album pages, but there are several soundtracks that were never officially released outside of Nintendo Music, so their original Japanese titles are unaccounted for. I suppose I could also just do it for those that lack releases outside of Nintendo Music and simply post them in the discussion threads of their respective product pages.

That's how I tag my tracklists in my media player, tbh!

+1 vote for that. Good to keep it all in one place. I'd even hold onto track title changes for archival purposes.

Added Free Roam tracks for "Mario Kart World" from:
*"Super Mario 64" *"Mario Kart 64" *"Yoshi's Story" Good idea. I'll update the tracklists with the Japanese titles at some point then. Also, another question. Thus far, I've been bolding the track numbers of tracks that were added in updates, but seeing as how they're releasing albums in installments more frequently, I'm not sure if it's worth it to continue doing so. Especially with how some updates like those for Mario Kart World repeatedly alter the previous track order. For the most part, it's pretty clear which tracks correlate to the updates without the additional indicator. I think the only one where it isn't is the second Splatoon 3 update, which lists Side Order, Grand Festival, and Additional Tracks. |
