There's a character that's impossible to include in the notes field or posts in this forum: http://ja.wiktionary.org/wiki/%F0%A1%88%BD. If you try to use it, it and everything after it won't be saved, so it'll seem like the notes or post just cuts off there. (Even more hilariously, if you make a post with it, you won't have any problem previewing. Only after you make the post and it's added to the database will things go weird.)
I'm guessing this is an encoding problem with an extended character. It's part of a name as written in a booklet, so I just went with 土田 for the time being. |

Apparently people get around this with 土` (actually two characters)

Yeah, I saw something similar on a site listing the credits for the X68K version of Ys 1, which that same dude apparently worked on. I think it just used a straight apostrophe though.

According to these threads:
http://forge.mysql.com/worklog/task.php?id=3780 http://phorum.study-area.org/index.p...;topic=51283.0 (Chinese) MySQL doesn't support 4-byte UTF-8 characters yet. We'd have to wait for MySQL 6.0 for that ![]() |

I think I know what the problem is, probably just need to edit the templates to point the link to the proper forums root directory. I have popups turned off so I never noticed it.

Seems no artist page Twitter account is working...?

When adding a tracklist the first track was 'Re:birth', that totally blanked out that field after I submitted the tracklist so the tracklist ended up with blank space only at 01.
Can it be the ":"?

Does anyone know if Twitter recently changed their API?
There are a few cases where the block-text parser can get confused. The colon and the Japanese colon sometimes give it problems. When this happens, you can edit the tracklist and enter a new track for that line, and it should work fine. |

Inactive links still display on album pages: http://vgmdb.net/album/12528
Don't know if you guys actually changed anything, but Twitter displays on artist profiles are working for me. |

Hmm, it seems like the scan submitter names are gone.

I was experimenting with removing that info until I can figure out a way to let some users submit scans anonymously.

It looks like it's time to adjust the max date again. I've bumped it up to 2011.

- The tracklist updates page says I've undone a The Bouncer edit... but I haven't! That album hasn't been updated at all anyway. It happened after rejecting a tracklist change here (Aug 25, 2010 08:27 PM).
- The alt text for the "undo" image says "new submission". |

Yeah, it's because the edit was tracklist metadata, namely the tracklist name (Japanese -> English), and the handler expects track data. I should put in a fix for that, though it happens so rarely that it's a low priority.

I added Tokyo Game Show 2010 to the calendar, but it doesn't show up on the event list.

Events are cached for one hour. I'll make it such that adding events automatically invalidates the cache.
(In any case Tokyo Game Show 2010 shows up now). |

Don't know if is a bug or a removed feature, but I will try to make me understand:
from a parent album entry, an user can click on the cat.number and the database opens the little window with child albums related. This window shows now only the cat.number and the date release, but some months ago it shows also the type media. Is it a bug or simple has this feature been removed? I hope it's not the second case cause it was a great shortcut to find the specific media type without "open" all the child entries. |

Are we really sure the "most viewed albums" statistics are working correctly ?
I just checked the Most Viewed Albums (Last 30 Days), and the top 30 albums are strangely the 30th first albums of the database alphabetically (if you browse albums at #) Anything wrong going on? |

Yeah, it looks like that is messed up. I don't know for sure the cause, but the table that counts the views is very large so I wonder if there is some problem with it. I won't be able to investigate for another week.

I had added Artists in the Composer, Performer for that Macross F Vocal Collection
after having manage-linked some Artists, some Artists not manage-linked disappeared (but still in the fields if you "Edit Album Info") bug? on another note (same album), I added times for the japanese tracklist and that doesn't appear for the romanized tracklist must I add them too? Maaya Sakamoto, Ranka Lee = Megumi Nakajima, Sheryl Nome starring May'n We don't want to credit someone as "Ranka Lee = Megumi Nakajima". Use the name that is credited on the album, and link it to the real name if an alias is used. I'm not sure what Sheryl Nome starring May'n is either. The times should always be added to the default tracklist, which in this case is the Romaji one. The times won't propagate automatically, but if you set the Japanese one as the default, and then set the Romaji one as default, that should trigger it to save the tracktimes. It's a bit inefficient to do this, but a re-write of some of the tracklist submission code is coming sometime. |

1st -> Maaya Sakamoto, Ranka Lee = Megumi Nakajima, Sheryl Nome starring May'n
after managing Maaya Sakamoto (Manage Artists) 2nd -> Maaya Sakamoto "Ranka Lee = Megumi Nakajima, Sheryl Nome starring May'n" doesn't show on the page anymore for me (it's not even in the View Source thing of my web browser) (btw, it's credited as the booklet shows, but I can put artist names if it's better for Manage Artists?) @times oh ok |

Oh, I see. Yeah, it should go how it is credited in the booklet. I still don't understand if anything is wrong. I just added them the unassigned artists, and now they show up as unlinked artists. I think you should be able to link them to the correct artist numbers now.

This is probably a very old bug, but i did not pay attention to it before today..
The "Media" format on "view collections" from one entry, does not change when you change the media format of the album, it just keeps it's very first submission. (ex here), Dominus submitted the entry with a CD Media, but it's in fact a digital release, so i changed that.. but the collections from that same entry still have "Media: CD". |

I did a couple searches for Gallery, Chrome, etc. Sorry if this is known.
When using the gallery view in what I consider a semi normal manner I find a funny bug. When clicking an image with the magnifying glass to expand, then again to shrink and a third time to re-expand I get this effect. http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/7499/vgmdb.png Google Chrome 9.0.570.0 Windows 7 32x I have only seen it on Chrome, Firefox works fine. As a side note the images load slower from the gallery in chrome also. |
