Default Starting out as videogame cover project

Hey everyone, we are a new band in the videogame scene doing covers from all over the spectrum of consoles. I was just wondering if anyone has advice to help us get our foot in the door, establish some fans, and interact with the target audience. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

Just play good stuff and keep improving your skills, that's all there is.

There is no "door" because there's nowhere that this particular venture (covering vgm) will "take you" other than to hone your own performance skill set.

Choosing Lufia & the Fortress of Doom to play on the official website is a good step; it kept me on the site longer than it should have

One thing I do like to see from bands is when they cover obscure, underappreciated music. But in the end, choose something that you like.

You guys sound great! For foot-in-the-door-ness... if you'd like to get signed and sell your covers on iTunes (legally), shoot our team and email: [email protected].

What kind of theory might I ask? My curiosity is always peaked at the mention of such venture into the self-driven improvement of musicality.

And yes, I kicked around your site a little longer because of your choice in lufia (love the music from that series).

My advice to you though is this:

The thing to remember though is not so much the choice of music you chose to perform--such as obscure music--but rather what you do with that music in your performances. If you are looking to break through simply covering tracks and actually adding your own personal tinge of Vanish Doom to the music, then find that Vanish Doom sound that sticks you out from the other cover band... But of course, if the goal is to perform game covers for the sake of having fun and connecting with the crowd...then perhaps covering some music that people know is one way to reel in the crowd to listen to the real band set you want the audience to hear: the obscure music.

Of course, these are just ramblings of an old man lost in time.

I hope for your success...and be sure to remember to have fun!
