Love or hate it, I'd say that "Almighty Bhunivelze" is the most ambitious final boss theme in the series' history (and that's really saying something). Would be interesting to hear this one performed live (particularly as a replacement for "One Winged Angel" at a VGL show, where it might get a Rite of Spring reaction).

Guys are you sure that the track : "Chocobo Carniv?le"
must be written "Carnivàle" I'm pretty sure that the "à" was unable to be written in the official website so it becomes "?". Maybe ? or not ?

Fuck, missed that. Well if it is à, I see no reason why the page shouldn't display it because it's UTF-8 encoded. According to this site's policy of keeping the errors (until official corrections), changed to Carniv?le (page source also has it like that)...

I said "and that's saying something" because I regard the final boss battle themes for FFVI, VII, VIII, X, and XII to be all be very ambitious. I think Bhunivelze is more timbrally rich, texturally complex, and stylistically abstract overall (although still inspired by other works, e.g. by Messiaen). However, I still personally prefer Dancing Mad and think it is the best final boss theme ever to have featured in a video game. And you're right that it triumphs in length because of its multi-tiered approach.

the track is long but the bosses are short (I can beat it in few minutes -ffvi)

the only thing I noticed in lr:ffxiii's bhuni theme is that it has remains of ffxiii's born anew
except that, I didn't find it that great for a last boss theme (I assume it's the last boss)

Yeah, it plays during the last form of the final boss. "Divine Love" plays during the first three forms.

"Almighty Bhunivelze" is probably my favorite final boss theme since "Dancing Mad" - "Nascent Requiem" & Ultima (ARR) are both great too, but I think this is excellent.

Well they are Square Enix Music so it's basically an official announcement!

FFXIII-2 OST Plus was rather disappointing so I hope that new one will be more rewarding.

It should be more rewarding that XIII-2's; I can recall a handful of new tracks that play in-game that don't appear on the soundtrack. Can't imagine why those wouldn't appear.

On another note, I haven't been able to find out anything about whether or not Chocobo Carnivale even plays in the game. I've pretty much done everything there is to do but it doesn't seem like it's there, even in areas where I'd think it would play. Just puzzling to me.

The bard songs especially were not on the soundtrack, except "The Savior's Words". I guess they are saving the others, like the tributes to previous FF titles, for this Plus album. As far as I remember, there was "Eternal Wind" from FFIII and "New Bodhum" from XIII-2.

That arrangement of "Eternal Wind" is one of my favorite things in the game. I find it sorta odd that the soundtrack uses an English version of "The Savior's Words" while the game itself uses a Japanese version. Hoping that shows up on the OST+ as well. Though really, the new themes that play during the Caius, Snow and Vanille cutscenes are what I want to see most.

When you meet her for the first time, a new arrangement of "Vanille's Theme/Memories of Happier Days" plays.

There are a lot, but some of them have no reason to be released. I posted a list of what I remember in the OST+ discussion.

"Making of" video--I've linked to the (short) relevant section:

Mizuta and Suzuki both talk.
