Could we have more informations about this?

I could not find anything googling the cat #.
Which publisher is it ?

Edit: i found this website that sells that "album".

I am curious about where you found the catalog number ?
I am very suspicious about this album, the tracklist being the exact replica of the PSX Gamerip..

Edit 2: Just saw the bootleg changes from SS.. so... this kind of albums (these are just gamerips in disguise) can fit in the database ?

It's a bootleg digital release, put out by A.D.E. productions. We'll have to decide whether to keep it, since the service that is selling it is legit, even though they don't seem to have the sense to police things.

Sometimes it's worth keeping these entries in order to alert people not to buy them.

Unhappy

Wow! you guys move fast. My name is Makell Bird. I am CEO of A.D.E., which is primarily a digital distribution company. I have recently obtained the rights to distribute MANY titles pertaining to old school games.

As I am also a member of the video game music community I take several points from what I see elsewhere in order to distribute a product to the utmost accuracy and hopefully, to the fan's liking.

The catalog numbers are assigned to me in the distribution process and would have the prefix ADE in front of it.

We specialize in putting out soundtracks to those old games that have no official soundtrack available, and to those game soundtracks that have no U.S. based distribution. Sorry for the confusion.

So, if you would please, remove the BOOTLEG marking on thes titles

Thanks for the explanation.

I'm a bit skeptical about the claim though, mostly because it seems very unusual for them to do things this way. I'd like to recommend that you hold off on adding any more albums until we can look into this a little further.

Excuse my skepticism, but I'd like to see some proof of this (particularly the Megami Tensei album). In the meantime I've deactivated the album listings as a precaution.

Which law firm is representing your company? That laywer would have drafted the Digital Distribution Agreements which you have signed with the Copyright Holders, and I'd like to hear their confirmation of working with you as a client.

I am 99% sure this is dubious and illegal. Digital distribution channels for some games are possible like Egg Music, but they receive endorsement from composers and game companies. This hasn't received any endorsement and I'd doubt Nintendo would allow their music to be presented through this medium. The whole idea of making these releases according to fans' advice also sounds unlikely given just how precise composers and companies are about digital releases. Furthermore, I think the idea of obtaining mass licenses for wildly divergent games is very unlikely too, unless one is a legal and licensing genius with multilingual skills and endless contacts. So I'd recommend either to present the legitimate documents or never bother the official soundtrack community again.

EDIT: And have you seen his site? Get this soundtrack free after making a personal donation to him? It's totally dishonest and misleading guy like him that are the very worst of the underground VGM community. Tasteless background music too.

He's having other companies sell the rips that he (A.D.E.) uploads to them.

You've been reported here and here. Does anyone know if Shockhound is usually an illegal distribution channel? If so, they should be informed too.

Shockhound is apparently real and a venture of a larger company (Hot Topic.) There's some more info here:

What I'm a little unsure about is whether illegal downloads are allowed there. I hope not and assume Makell misled them, but just wanted to be sure.

They likely have similar terms of use as ebay or youtube in which they don't check the validity of the content beforehand, until a rights holder contacts them with an infringement letter and then they would comply afterwards...

This particular release is definitely a game rip, done by Arc in 2003.
