I removed "animation" because it's not animation in the sense of animated drawings
since there is no category for movies or cg movies like this one or ffvii:ac
maybe ffvii:ac's "animation" category should be removed too

Animation is not only animation of hand-drawn images, it includes CG animation too (stop motion also counts). So (completely) CG animated movies are sure animations.

It's fine to stay with the general "Animation" term because some new (sub) categories must be created otherwise:

[Animation]:

-traditional
-stop motion
-computer:
*2D
*3D
*cel shading

etc.
and of course a single anime series/movie can use traditional, CG 2D, CG 3D at the same time.

so why don't we keep it simple as "Animation" only.

Anyway, that's my view.

personally I see full cg movies in the same category as a movie like star wars episode I and movies using cg
because a live-action movie with actors can have some cg or a lot of cg (in sw1, you have a lot of cg, I even think it was one of the critics about the movie but whatever)
so I can consider full cg movies like closer to movies with a lot of cg

to me, animation is all the things looking like drawings (even if you can use 3D for some effects hard or difficult to make differently -i.e. without 3D)
I don't count puppet shows in animation (for example)
