Since it's included in the Collector's Pack to be released on October 2, it is quite likely the release date will be the same, or the day before.

By the way, SQEX Music just confirmed a KH HD 1.5 ReMIX soundtrack is also in the works.

Didn't they say that the Collector's Edition would have a blu-ray music disc? Pretty sure the separate soundtrack release would be CDs/CD-esque format for compatibility.

Yes, that's the case here.

What makes you think so?
I bet the standalone release will be the exact same bluray (cf FFX Remaster OST).

I do happen to know that the source material is 48kHz this time around, and it seems like a little bit of a waste to do a 96kHz release, but that's probably a half-and-half assumption on my part. (Didn't check to see if X HD's soundtrack is the same way)

What I can tell you is that there are more than 80 tracks that were touched up, so it's likely some are being left out of the one bundled with the CE, as it's been said that's 80 tracks, but it's also possible that it might be that way with the standalone too, I guess?

Hilariously enough I don't know the definite answer either. :V

1.5 + 2.5 collection comes with a blu-ray disc.

Still not publically revealed if they are getting standalone albums and/or what format.

That blu-ray is not the 2.5 OST, but a selection of tracks from 1.5 and 2.5. 2 versions of 32 tracks will be included, from what I can read. The new live HD tracks and a remastered version (sound upgrade, probably very little difference) of the original tracks. I think that disc will not be released standalone, as it doesn't appear on product pages while the 2.5 OST does. I also can't seem to find a mention of a standalone 1.5 OST. Did they scrap that I wonder?

no i believe they'll still be coming out with a 1.5 OST but still it's just there's no info on it yet. I believe Tai Yasue mentioned it somewhere during an interview at E3.

Four CDs, apparently? I guess Blu-ray is more of the 1.5+2.5 teaser that goes with the limited edition.

Default Now that the soundtrack has been released...

Can someone please post the liner notes and track lengths? It would be good to know which of the tracks have been remastered and which have not.

Dissident 93 responded to me that he/she doesn't have the liner notes (he/she filled in the track lengths from a rip). Can someone who does please fill them in?

I looked over the tracklist looking at little things like stylization and capital letters and fixed it up so it's in line with the booklet. Notably I removed the "-Bonus Track-" from the respective track names as the booklet doesn't include that in the name of those tracks, it simply lists that above the tracks to say they're bonus tracks.

Added liner notes. I kept spacing, line breaks, etc as similar as possible to 1.5's entry. I also corrected a couple of spelling errors in the credits that were in the printed version of the liner notes for the orchestra (source of correct spellings = me)

Added Amazon link.
Also the 1.5 remix OST has an Amazon link but it looks to be dead?

A question for KH music experts: is there a resource anywhere that documents re-use of music throughout the series? Specifically, music that is "new" to each game.

I have been playing the PS4 HD collection and am pretty lost as to what's going on in the soundtracks of both Chain of Memories and Birth By Sleep. I have noticed that when music is re-used from other games, sometimes they use the original synth versions and other times the "HD Remix" versions.

Also, the PS4 collection only has the cutscene versions of 358/2 Days and Re:Coded and so I have no real idea of the music implementation in those two.
