So what's the rule on item prices?

The original price was $2.99, but then it was lowered down to $1 or more. I made a note of that for reference and it was removed.

I've seen this happen several times before, prices on albums, especially digital ones, get adjusted as time goes on. We're not allowed to mention that anywhere now? Isn't that what the notes are supposed to be for? To NOTE things that can't be listed in the album details themselves because they don't fit anywhere else?

Release price is the first one the album gets sold for, both physical & digital. For digital ones, price can be adjusted if the content changes over time, e.g. when tracks get added, it's no longer the same release content wise so if the price changed, you can change it here too. If the content remains the same (for physical albums it has to, unlike digital ones of course), list only the original, first price. Any discounts etc. can be entered in the notes like 'currently sold for.....'.

Which I mentioned in the notes which were wiped out. As I said, if the price has to be the release price then cool, but why delete the note about the price change?

I'm not against listing the current price in the notes if the submitter chooses to do so.
