I changed the catalog number from NF02011 to NF02010. I finally got an original, after years of searching, and the correct catalog number is also present in the scan already here.

Not sure why the Falcom MIDI albums are so much harder to find than the Konami MIDI albums. One can get the full set of Konami MIDI albums in the blink of an eye in comparison to the time it takes to find the Falcom ones.

For some reason, I always forget about the Falcom Midi Collections (LOH, Ys, Sorcerian). And I pride myself on pre-1997 Falcom obsession.

Edit: For that matter, I didn't even know Brandish and LOH IV even HAD Midi collections until I just did a search for "midi". The VGMdb knowledge just keeps on flowing.

I've come quite late to the Falcom MIDI albums. Back in the beginning, I thought they had standard midi files for some reason and never pursued them. I was quite surprised to find out that these are arranged midi albums, and are better than Konami's first 4 "ver." albums, which focused on the X68000. They are not better than Konami's "Pro" albums and the last "ver." album (Snatcher), though, which are direct challenges to real instrumentation.

What's so confusing about Falcom's MIDI albums is that each one seems to have at least two different catalog numbers. Someone could write a 10 page paper about it. I haven't figured it all out yet, but I have managed to find some of them in physical form. I would like to get each version of each album, but just finding one version has proven to be difficult.

The only two that I have not yet spotted are Brandish MIDI and the SC-88 MIDI collection. Due to my "physical only" collecting decree, I have not yet even heard them, because, to hear them, I have to actually find them. I've found at least one printing of the others.

I actually owned this one and ended up selling it. It suffers from the same thing a lot of Sorcerian albums do - It arranges the opening and the two ending themes too much. I love my Falcom, but these themes need to be put out to the pasture and shot at this point.
