- Digital album
- Same tracklist as CD

Only difference is that digital album was released 2 weeks before CD.

There's your reason right there. Regardless of your own views on format hierarchy, this should be in here for posterity if nothing else to show that the music here was available for purchase a full 2 weeks before it could be bought on a "proper" format. I'd agree with you to put in the CD's page notes if it was released afterwards but not if significantly before. Another recent example of this on the db:

Again, you can do this in the notes. You can place the note on the very first line of the parent album. That would be sufficient.

You both have pointed to older albums but there's not really any rules for these things that I'm aware of.

I really think we need some guidelines in place for digital albums. I believe the standard for adding them should be higher than physical albums.
