SQEX-10743: Signifie - TRIALS of MANA Arrangement Tracks

Hello! My copy of the collectors edition came in today, so I'm doing the needful and putting all the info I can about it. When my scanner starts working, I'll try to figure out how to change the picture to the album art.

So, basically this is exact the same arrange album like https://vgmdb.net/album/70949 with the original recording audio quality instead of the compressed game music files.

I didn't understand the concept from the first album, and I still don't get it from this one either - why does Kikuta arranges this handful of tracks in this ridiculous lenght without any kind of real arrangement or developement?
If the tracks would be shorter there could be more tracks put on the CD, but why is Square Enix deciding like "Mr. Kikuta, pick up to 5 tracks and extend them for a total time of 40+ minutes"? It's not he is a DJ or so lol.
Just listening to "Swivel" for over 7 minutes drives me nuts haha. And the other tracks aren't better picks.

Any other opinions regarding this release and the other? I know it's just a pre-order item, but still it sucks a bit when handling "arranged albums" this way.

Hmm, I haven't heard it, but those 5 tracks are 5 of my absolute favorite from the OST. But, you're saying it's not actually arranged?

They sound like they're just extended, to way longer then they need to be.

They're not bad tracks, by all means not. Swivel and Powell are one of my favorite tracks as well, but the way they are threated here is not actually pleasant, at least for me. And yeah, like Special said, they're basically just extended versions of the original tracks from 1995, but with slightly better synth quality (uncompressed), like the ones from Secret of Mana 2 Arrange Album.

I always took it to be you were supposed to listen to these extended tracks as you play with the diorama/figurines set that comes with the collector's edition (which unfortunately is JP onry).
so as you act out your battles and scenarios the music just keeps playing on.
