Regarding the issue of this album sounding like an Arrangement, despite being titled as Original Sound...

My opinion is that it's a case like the Sonic 1&2 album, where Masato published his original Demo tracks, which are of higher synth quality than the in-game versions.

We don't see many of these scenarios, so it's a unique case. All the SE sample triggers on the Abobo track is a strong indicator for this theory.

Another way of thinking about it as "pre-arranged" source for the game version, instead of the usual "after-arranged".

You bump into that once in a while with older albums like this and it can be an unpleasant surprise when you go in expecting the original soundtrack. I think it may have been easier for some companies at the time to just use the early studio versions instead of trying to record the final versions from hardware. A lot of them could probably be listed as "prototype/unused" but I don't think we have confirmation that that's what they are most of the time.
