@Habanero

Your album submission has been rejected.

Reason: Not an official release, this is just a random person uploading a game rip to music services without permission and putting their name on it. Previous discussion on this kind of "release": https://vgmdb.net/forums/showthread.php?t=8557

If you feel the rejection is in error, please post further information or evidence here.

Hmm, I was suspicious of it as well, but it's on all major services, and Yuzup Dalmaz himself says he worked with the other composers on this game. Were you able to find anything on "Digital Project"? The albums credit the other composers, so I suppose I could try contacting them and asking about it.

Yusup Dalmaz is not credited in any of the games they supposedly worked on, and either they or someone they're associated with has vandalized multiple reference sites (GameFAQs, Sega Retro, TCRF) with various nonsense related to those games and some completely fictitious games as well. Literally everything associated with them should be assumed to be a lie until proven otherwise

Huh, had no idea. He even posted a legal document to try and pass off as proof. The more you know, thanks. I'm guessing digital bootlegs aren't allowed? It might be useful to have it listed so others become aware of it (disable the links if you're worried about advertising them?). For example, I knew right away that this PEPSIMAN vinyl was a bootleg but others didn't until I confirmed it with the publisher.

I think there's some potential value in being able to publicly identify illegitimate releases like this as digital bootlegs, but consensus has been for a long time to just outright refuse to catalog illegal digital distribution rather than deal with issues of potential promotion, opening the floodgates to any ol' game rip someone uploads to some site, etc.

For what it's worth, I did run this by the editors chat on Discord before rejecting it because I didn't remember for sure what we did in this kind of situation, and there wasn't any particular appetite to keep it
