Some of these titles used localizations rather than a translation of the magazine's tracklist.
@Jedi QuestMaster

Your submission has been rejected.

Type: track edit
Reason: The previous title are the official English titles given for those Japanese titles, as listed on the original FFIV OST https://vgmdb.net/album/1854

If you feel the rejection is in error, please post further information or evidence here.

I don't understand. The tracklist is right here: https://vgmdb.net/db/covers.php?do=view&cover=191153

and here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MTg...ew?usp=sharing

which is what this translation is from. Why are you going off another publication?

Edit: Okay, I just noticed the English (literal) tab. I always thought all English tracklists were literal and English (localization) is what's used in overseas versions. Is that the issue? If that's the case, there's no localization here, because this magazine wasn't printed overseas, and as far as I know, we go off whatever the publication used, instead of referencing another publication even though it's the official soundtrack.

If an album has an official English tracklist from an overseas digital version or something, we make that the primary and call it "English (official)" normally; "English (localized)" tracklists are usually unofficial English tracklists that use localized names. However, in the FFIV case, the English tracklist is printed on the album alongside the Japanese tracklist (I probably could've stated this more clearly in the rejection message sorry), so it doesn't need any special qualifier because it's literally just on the album.

Since the publisher officially provided English equivalents of the Japanese titles, and this album uses those same Japanese titles, I don't see why we should disregard the given English titles and use our own translations.

Okay, that clarifies everything. I didn't even know both tracklists were identical in Japanese. I just saw that the English titles didn't match, saw your post, and saw the English tracks from Final Fantasy IV.

My problem with this is that it's confusing, especially for someone who doesn't understand 日本語. They'll think it's a literal translation. Yet I don't have a solution for this aside from adding a literal English tracklist alongside the others, which seems overkill for just 5 tracks.
