Any happen to have the vocal credits for these tracks, only the lyric credits are provided here.
Some of these tracks are repeats from other albums so you kinda know Susan Calloway did the vocals for Answers, etc. but many I don't know like Endcaller, or The Final Day or Ancient Shackles. |

The physical release will probably have the credits but nobody's scanned it/took photos yet.

Well looks like now there are now vocal credits for the digital release. I'll use those!

I'm not sure if Endcaller and the Final Day uses a real chorus? I assumed it was synthesized similar to Promises to Keep on the Death Unto Dawn soundtrack. However, I am curious about Finality, as I always thought the vocals in that track sounded very NieR-like, but there's no vocal credits for that either it seems.

I think "The Final Day" draws from the chorus performances of the orchestral versions of Ultima, The Worm's Tail, Heroes, and Invincible? I could be wrong, but I actually was surprised Suzuki did the arrangement and not Sachiko Miyano - it's much higher quality than his normal stuff.

That's true, but Suzuki did orchestrate some of the tracks on the Eorzean Symphony albums, so perhaps it's possible that it is Suzuki's orchestration performed by a live orchestra instead of his usual libraries? That would be very nice to have credited if that was the case though, since it's not all that common for FFXIV.
Invincible in particular does not have a studio recording if I remember correctly, so I'm not sure how he'd get a hold of a live chorus for that if it wasn't newly recorded. Last edited by Seshpai; Mar 13, 2022 at 06:32 PM. |

"Invincible" does sound newly recorded, yeah. It's much fuller sounding than whatever is in the soundtrack version and like you noted, we haven't gotten a studio orchestral version yet. Hrm. Would be nice to know more!

Can anyone with a Bluray player see if the chiptune track from the digital release is accessible through the menu somehow? I only have a PC for ripping Blurays but I found a track that sounds like a chiptune track and was wondering if there's an easy way to access it normally.

It's accessed through the Extras menu! It doesn't automatically queue up with the standard full soundtrack, but it's not like, hidden or anything.

In that case, does that mean the bonus track on the digital release should also be in the Bluray one? And possibly the two releases should be merged then? |

Yeah. I've just done that.

By the way, "Kavvus daiki Arvina" is a nickname for Daiki Ishikawa. He is the one who arranged the track, but he also recorded the voice. As they explained in an interview (link), their goal was to write a song that sounds like it's performed by an old woman in some vintage video. So they probably made up that name to make it like it's an actual Garlean singer (such as Livia sas Junius or Nael van Darnus).
This is the part where Ishikawa says he sung it himself, and altered the recording to get it closer to a woman voice: Quote:
