Just a note: The track order between the MP3 and WAV files in the release appear to be slightly different. I'm trying to get clarification on that from the devs.

UPDATE: Eric W. Brown, the game's main composer, stated on Twitter that since the tracks were submitted to him by Mitsuda in this state, he didn't want to alter them at all and so he put them on the album without any additional editing or processing.

Mitsuda's tracks have an unusual amount of silence at the beginning and end, and they are much quieter than all of Eric W. Brown's tracks. This is just an assumption on my part, but it seems as though Mitsuda submitted the unprocessed, premaster tracks with the expectation that a mastering engineer would prepare them for the album.

The Steam release has been updated with corrected track orders. For future reference: 1.18 "A Day At The Lake" used to be at 1.73. It was moved and all the tracks between those two spots were shifted accordingly. Also, the title for 3.27 was fixed to match the original version of that song.

Noteworthy: the Bandcamp listings don't have Mitsuda's tracks. iTunes does have it. I think Steam version is the full OST as well.

There used to be a message about needing to figure out licensing issues with his tracks on Bandcamp: https://web.archive.org/web/20231222...isc-i-solstice

Also unless I'm misremembering there was a brief period where they were available, but if they were then I guess whatever licensing issues with Bandcamp couldn't be fully solved. This isn't the first time I've heard of distribution issues with Bandcamp. (The "Baba Is You Soundtrack" was another one: https://x.com/babaisyou_/status/1199869813859999744)

With the release of the new (free) DLC https://store.steampowered.com/news/...49771124769937 comes also new additional music tracks that has been added to the digital soundtrack. Sea of Stars: Throes of the Watchmaker.

I wasn't sure if they should be separate or not since it's a 2025 release being included with the older soundtrack. The Steam image also shows the original soundtrack being 3 disc and the DLC soundtrack being 1 disc.

Thought I would make a note of it here if a mod wants to update the change or merge them I don't know. Here's the page for the dlc soundtrack https://vgmdb.net/album/149861

Should tracks 1-76 Hills Of Determination (Day) and 2-15 Hills of Determination (Night) be credited partly for Rainbowdragoneyes, seeing how both of them are remakes of Hills of Destiny (Autumn Hills) from The Messenger.
