Mitsuharu Fukuyama's mentioned several times how this album was pivotal towards him joining SEGA as a composer.

On CRACKIN'DJ website, the OutRun song says he listened to a flexi disc a friend had with a song from Out Run on it. On CRACKIN'DJ PART2 website, he has an article about his history and says that same flexi disc also included FANTASY ZONE (I suppose he could be meaning FANTASY ZONE II). And in OutRun 20th Anniversary Box, he says that album came with a magazine, and that his favourite Out Run song is PASSING BREEZE. All of it matches this album even though he's never given it by name.
