While reading an article about Pepsiman commercials and song, I just happen to found out a Hidefumi Watanabe (渡辺秀文) biography on MR.MUSIC website (Shimoji worked there from 1989 to 1994), where it is stated that James & Gang is/was in fact James Shimoji.
